Mount Vernon Hosting Online Census Party Friday Evening

Fewer than a third of residents have completed the 2020 Census so far, and the city could lose up to $800 million in federal funding.

MOUNT VERNON, NY — Make sure you watch! The Mount Vernon Complete Count Committee has decided to promote the Census by hosting its first Club Census Party from 7-10 p.m. Friday on Facebook live.

The host will be DJ Scottie G – he grew up in Mount Vernon and is the host of Heights Reunion in Mount Vernon. This will be a weekly party – that will include a fun (clean version) music play list. Facts and flyers about the Census.

As of April 4, our city has the lowest response rate in Westchester County at 30.8 percent, said Mayor Shawyn Patterson-Howard.
