Mount Vernon Issues Statement On Teamsters' Temporary Work Slowdown

The labor action has led to some garbage not being collected. City officials said trash will be picked up on Wednesday.

STATEMENT ON TEAMSTERS 456 TEMPORARY WORK SLOWDOWN

Teamsters 456 initiated a temporary work slowdown due to contract negotiations that have been ongoing for an extended period. This action resulted in some of the garbage not being picked up today. All remaining garbage will be picked up tomorrow along with Northside garbage.
