Mount Vernon Repeat Offender Nabbed With Illegal Loaded Handgun: MVPD
Police said Isaac Bones Jr. has a 30-year-long criminal history, including robbery, narcotics offenses, burglary and weapon possession.

MOUNT VERNON, NY — Mount Vernon police, working with Westchester County police, said an illegal gun and a repeat offender were taken off the streets this weekend.
A Mount Vernon man was arrested with an illegal loaded handgun on Saturday evening.
On Saturday, shortly after 7 p.m., Mount Vernon PD detectives and the Westchester County Department of Public Safety "observed a vehicle in violation of several vehicle and traffic law sections." The detectives pulled the car over near South 10th Ave. and West 1st St.

During the stop, the driver, 49-year old Isaac Bones Jr., was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun and additional ammunition, investigators said. He was arrested and charged with second degree criminal possession of a weapon and a slew of traffic violations.
He was taken to the Mount Vernon Police Department jail, pending arraignment.

Bones has a long criminal history, according to police, as far back as 1990. He has been previously arrested for robbery, narcotics offenses, burglary and weapon possession, officials said.
