Mount Vernon Police Department Seeking School Crossing Guards

MOUNT VERNON, NY — It's almost that time and the Mount Vernon Police Department is back-to-school shopping for a few new crossing guards to help start the year off on the right foot.

With the new school year beginning next month, the Mount Vernon Police Department is looking to hire new school crossing guards to help ensure the safety of school students.

According to the job description posted by Mount Vernon police, they are looking for dedicated individuals who are able to work in differing weather conditions and be able to work with the public in a safe and courteous manner.

Applications can be picked up in person at MVPD headquarters, City Hall and the Doles Center. They can also be downloaded here.
