Mount Vernon Resurfacing To Cause Major Traffic Disruptions This Week

Expect major disruptions on the busy N. Columbus Avenue corridor, starting Wednesday and continuing until the weekend.

MOUNT VERNON, NY — The Mount Vernon Department of Public Works says it is "paving it forward."

The Mount Vernon Department of Public Works announced that there will be traffic disruptions due to the city's newest street resurfacing project.

The paving and final restoration work will take place on N. Columbus Ave., between Locust Lane to Sherman Ave. The work is scheduled to take place from Wednesday to Friday this week, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. These dates and times are subject to change.

Police officers will be present for towing and traffic.
