Mount Vernon Teen Fatally Stabbed In The Neck In The Bronx: Reports

The teen was stabbed from behind near a public library. A suspect is in custody, but police said that charges are still pending.

MOUNT VERNON, NY — A 19-year-old was fatally stabbed in the neck in the Bronx on Saturday night, according to media reports.

Police called to an assault on Briggs Avenue in Fordham Manor, found the Mount Vernon teenager had been stabbed in the neck, according to reports from several sources, including NY PIX11. Armani McDonald was rushed to the hospital where he died, according to the news station.

The teen was stabbed in the back on a sidewalk near a branch of the New York Public Library, according to ABC News. The events leading up to the killing aren't yet clear, according to officials.

Two knives were recovered at the scene and the NYPD told reporters that a suspect is in custody, but charges are still pending.
