Mount Vernon Woman Charged with DWI
Police stopped to assist a disabled vehicle on I-287.
State police stopped to render aid to a possible disabled vehicle on I-287 at about 5:50 a.m. April 23.
They say they found out the driver of the vehicle, Asia S. Smith, 28, of Mount Vernon, NY, was intoxicated. She was transported and processed at state police offices in Tarrytown, where her blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.18 percent.

She was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the Village of Elmsford Court on May 11.
