Mount Vernon's Memorial Field Track And Skatepark Open To The Public

Inclement weather and scheduled events are now the only excuses for not getting out for a little exercise at the lovingly restored venue.

MOUNT VERNON, NY — Memorial Field will be open for walking and running, Mount Vernon Shawyn Patterson-Howard announced today.

"I am excited for the residents of Mount Vernon to have an opportunity to get healthy and enjoy the jewel of Mount Vernon which is our beloved Memorial Field," the mayor said, in a statement announcing the new public service.

Memorial Field will officially open the track on Feb. 18 for walking and running activities everyday from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m,. except during scheduled events.

The skatepark will be open from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. everyday, except during inclement weather and when events are taking place.
