Police Hunting For 14-Year-Old Suspect In Stabbing Of 13-Year-Old
The knifing on Gramatan Ave followed a stabbing in a Mount Vernon High School hallway yesterday. Both violent acts involved adolescents.

MOUNT VERNON, NY — Police are hunting for another Mount Vernon teen, involved in yet another violent act that took place just hours after a 15-year-old was stabbed in a hallway at Mount Vernon High School.
The Mount Vernon Detective Division is investigating the stabbing that happened on Thursday, at approximately 4:39 pm, on Gramatan Avenue.
During the incident, a 13-year-old boy ended up with a stab wound to his left hip area. He was rushed to Montefiore Mount Vernon where he was treated for a non-life-threatening injury.

Authorities believe the suspect in the stabbing is a 14-year-old boy, who has not yet been caught.
Mount Vernon police are asking anyone with information about the stabbing to contact the MVPD Detective Division at 914-665-2510. Police say all calls will be kept confidential. Anonymous tips can also be sent via MVPD's "Text-A-Tip" by texting "MVPD" and the tip to 847411. Information can also be sent anonymously using the "Mount Vernon PD" app, available in the Google Play and Apple stores.
