Police Search For Gunman In Broad Daylight Shooting At Food Bazaar
Mount Vernon police said they were called to the supermarket shortly after 2 p.m. after a man was shot in the parking lot.

MOUNT VERNON, NY — A Mount Vernon man was shot in the parking lot of a supermarket this afternoon.
Shortly after 2 p.m. on Friday, Mount Vernon police were called to the parking lot of Food Bazaar for a report of shots fired with a victim wounded. Officers found a man, later identified as 30-year-old Miguel Moore, lying on the ground, suffering from a single gunshot wound to his upper right leg.
Moore was taken to Jacobi Hospital in the Bronx and is expected to make a full recovery, according to police.

The Mount Vernon Police Department is asking anyone with information about this incident to contact the MVPD Detective Division at 914-665-2510. Police said all calls will be kept confidential. Anonymous tips can also be sent via the MVPD "Text-A-Tip" by texting "MVPD" and the tip to 8474011.
