Prisoner Remains At Large After Escaping Custody In Westchester

YONKERS, NY — A manhunt continues for an inmate who escaped from his guards at St. Joseph's Hospital in Yonkers.

Early this morning, Geraldo Rojas-Allen was in the custody of Westchester County Department of Corrections officers at the hospital in Yonkers, according to police. During this prisoner detail, he managed to escape from their custody, officials said.

The Yonkers Police Department is assisting the Westchester County Department of Public Safety in the manhunt, according to a statement released this afternoon by YPD.

Rojas-Allen was in custody for robbery 1st, robbery 2nd, and robbery 3rd, police said.

Rojas-Allen is described as 24 years old, with black hair, brown eyes and a tattoo of "Mary" on his right arm (image below). He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers, according to police.
