Saw Mill Parkway Exit To Close Over Weekend

The Exit 6 (Lockwood Avenue) ramp from the southbound Saw Mill River Parkway is expected to be closed from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Friday and from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday. Crews will be performing construction activities, weather permitting. A single lane closure is also expected on the Parkway in the vicinity of the ramp during these times.

Motorists are advised to use the posted detour.

Use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to flaggers and all traffic control devices, including signs.

Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
