Stolen Motorcycle Arrest In Mount Vernon After Troopers Make Stop
The New York State Police Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team arrested a Bronx 21-year-old on felony charges.
MOUNT VERNON, NY — Troopers say a Bronx man on a stolen motorcycle wasn't exactly keeping a low profile when he caught the attention of police.
On January 10, the New York State Police Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team arrested Yonaiker J. Mijaves for felony criminal possession of stolen property.
Just after 4 p.m., troopers stopped a 2023 Jaijue motorcycle and its 21-year-old operator for illegal passing, running red lights and no helmet on 5th Avenue in the city of Mount Vernon. It turns out the motorcycle was reported stolen out of New York City, according to police.

Mijaves was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the city of Mount Vernon Court on January 24.
