Task Force Shuts Down Smoke Shop Selling THC-Infused 'Wonka Bar': YPD
The cleverly packaged, but unlicensed treats came in both jelly doughnut and M&M flavors, according to police officials.

YONKERS, NY —The Yonkers Police Department announced Monday that they shut down another unlawful smoke shop.
The City of Yonkers Smoke Shop Task Force inspected the shop on South Broadway last week and confiscated unlicensed products being sold, including illicit cannabis and unlawful synthetic cannabinoid products, police said.
The task force shut the store down for building and fire code violations.

Police say that many of the products they found were designed to mimic the appearance of candy, such as a THC-infused "Wonka Bar" that came in jelly doughnut and M&M flavors.
"These items are in our community - please keep a watchful eye on young kids who could potentially have access to them," Yonkers police posted in a statement announcing the raid.

The inspections are part of an ongoing campaign that has seen dozens of businesses visited by law enforcement in recent months.
"Our goal is not to hurt small businesses and building owners; however, we will not allow unlawful premises to impact the quality-of-life of our communities," Yonkers police officials said after a similar enforcement action in October. "The City of Yonkers and Yonkers Police Department will continue to ensure that all establishments are operating within the confines of the law."
