Traffic Alert: Hutch And Cross County Lane Closures This Week
Construction zones and traffic restrictions on two of Westchester's busiest highways could make getting around a not-so-romantic hassle.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — If you're not one of the thousands who will be calling out of work on "Super Sick Monday" following the big game, you might want to get an early start, because the planned roadwork isn't going to help with the headache this week.
The NYS Department of Transportation said there will be lane closures scheduled along the Hutchinson River Parkway, from Monday, Feb. 14 to Friday, Feb. 18. Construction work will take place daily, weather-permitting.
- There will be single lane closures northbound and southbound between Exit 4 (US Route 1) in Pelham Manor and Exit 7 (Pelhamdale Ave.) in Mount Vernon, nightly from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- There will be right lane closures southbound between Exit 16 (Purchase Street) in Harrison and Exit 5A (Sanford Blvd.) in Pelham Manor, daily from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In addition, the DOT said there are single and double lane closures planned on the Cross County Parkway eastbound and westbound between Exit 2 (Yonkers Ave.) and Exit 6 (Bronx River Parkway) in Yonkers, from Monday to Friday, between 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. for sign work.
