Travel Alert: Thruway Exit Ramps To Close Overnight This Week

The exits will be closed for maintenance overnight Wed. and Thurs. The work is expected to wrap up before the morning rush on both days.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — Detours will be in effect on a major Hudson Valley interstate highway overnight this week.

The New York State Thruway Authority says that two northbound Thruway (I-87) exits in Yonkers will be closed overnight during this week for maintenance activities.

Fortunately, the closures are not expected to affect the morning commutes.

The Exit 3 off-ramp (Mile Square Road) will close at 11 p.m. on Wednesday and re-open by 5 a.m. on Thursday. Drivers should follow the posted detour to Exit 2 (Yonkers Ave. - Raceway).

The Exit 4 off-ramp (Cross County Pkwy - Mile Square Rd.) will close at 11 p.m. on Thursday and re-open by 5 a.m. Friday. Drivers should follow the posted detour to Exit 3.
