Update: Missing 79-Year-Old Woman Found Safe

YONKERS, NY — Police are asking for the public's help locating a missing woman with dementia.

UPDATE FROM YONKERS POLICE: "Loyola Forde has been located and reunited with family. Thanks for sharing."

Loyola Forde was last seen Sept. 24, near 450 Walnut Street in Yonkers. The 79-year-old has dementia and might possibly be near water or near trains, according to a missing person advisory issued by the Yonkers Police Department on Friday afternoon.

Police are circulating a recent photograph of Forde who is described as Black, 5'6'' and weighing approximately 140 pounds. She was wearing a white sweater, brown shirt and checkered pants when she was last seen.

Yonkers police are asking anyone with information about the current whereabouts of Loyola Forde to call 914-377-7900. In case of an emergency, call 9-1-1.
