Video Of Violent Mugging Released By Police; Suspect Nabbed

Yonkers police said the brutal attack and robbery was investigated by the Major Crimes Squad who took a 32-year-old into custody.

YONKERS, NY — Investigators said on Monday that police have made an arrest in a violent mugging that was captured on surveillance camera.

Police said the 3rd Precinct Anti-Crime Unit and Major Case Detectives have identified, apprehended and charged a 32-year-old man in connection with the brutal assault on a Yonkers street in the early morning hours of September 1. Felix Reyes was arrested for the attack and robbery of a 34 year-old-man just before 2:30 a.m. police said.

"Our police officers and detectives are some of the best in world and will never stop working hard to keep our communities safe and get violent criminals off our streets," officials said in a statement posted on social media announcing the arrest.
