Weekend Smash-And-Grab At 7-11 Leads To Abandoned Car At Bronx Border
A getaway car recovered by police a short distance away had been reported stolen out of New York City.

YONKERS, NY — Thieves got away with some cash after a frenzied attack on a Westchester convenience store this weekend, according to police.
The Yonkers Police Department is investigating a felony robbery that took place in the early morning hours on Sunday at the 7-Eleven store on McLean Ave.
Police say that shortly after 3 a.m., two unidentified men entered the store and went behind the counter. The suspects then smashed the register onto the floor and removed an undisclosed amount of cash, according to officials.

There were no weapons displayed and no injuries reported in the brazen robbery. The suspects then fled the area in a getaway car.
Yonkers police say they recovered the vehicle near the Bronx border. The car had been reported stolen out of New York City.
