Westchester Man Arrested For Sexually Assaulting 8YO Girl: NYPD

YONKERS, NY — NYPD detectives are investigating the case of a Yonkers man who sexually abused an 8-year-old girl in a Harlem afterschool program multiple times, according to officials. Police say he may have also abused other children.

25-year-old Miles McNeal was arrested by the NYPD's Child Abuse Squad last Thursday, and charged with the use of a child in a sexual performance, sex abuse, promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child, course of sexual conduct against a child, possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child, and acting in a manner injurious to a child.

According to the Manhattan DA's criminal complaint, McNeal molested and sexually assaulted the 8-year-old girl several times between September of 2022 and August of 2023 at a West 112th St. location. The complaint also claims that he took several photos of the child's private parts, including while molesting her, and that he showed her photos of other naked children.

McNeal was arraigned last Friday and was ordered held on $75,000 cash bail or $200,00 bond. He is currently at Rikers Island and is due back in court on Wednesday.
