Yonkers Police Looking For Answers In Weekend Shooting

YONKERS, NY — Investigators are asking for the public's help finding out who opened fire on a Yonkers street over the weekend.

Yonkers police officers and detectives say they are actively investigating a shooting incident that occurred in the area of Maple Place on Friday evening. Authorities believe at least one person, who remains at large, fired gunshots in the direction of an unidentified potential victim. The shooter or shooters are said to have fled the area in an also unidentified vehicle.

Police have not yet been able to identify the intended target of the shooting. No injuries were reported in connection with this latest incident of gun violence.
