Yonkers School District Calendar 2021-22: First Day Of School

YONKERS, NY — Before you know it, the 2021-22 school year will be starting.

The first day of classes for the Yonkers school district is Friday, Sept. 3, except for pre-K. Pre-K students will start with a half-day on Thursday, Sept. 9, with full days starting Friday, Sept. 10.

Whether or not you and your children are looking forward to the new school year, you will want to write down the dates in your calendar as soon as possible.

Here is the full list of dates to know for the 2021-22 school year:

If three Emergency Closing Days are used, schools will be open 4/11. If four Emergency Closing Days are used, schools will be open 4/12. If five Emergency Closing Days are used, schools will be open 4/13. If six Emergency Closing Days are used, schools will be open 4/14. It is requested that plans not be made for any of the make-up days.
