Alzheimer’s Association to Offer Free Wellness Retreat

The Alzheimer's Association Hudson Valley Chapter will host a wellness retreat on Sept. 13 for people with dementia and their caregivers.

The Alzheimer’s Association Hudson Valley Chapter will offer a free wellness retreat for people with early- to middle-stage dementia and their family caregivers from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, at Stony Point Center at 17 Cricketown Road in Stony Point.

The retreat will feature joint and separate activities for people with dementia and caregivers including a music social and workshops on healthy living, creative gardening, therapeutic art, yoga for beginners and stress management techniques. Complimentary breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Preregistration is required for this event. Anyone interested in attending should contact Jody Addeo at 845.639.6776 with questions or to sign up.

The Hudson Valley Chapter offers Wellness Retreats and a variety of other programs for people with dementia and their caregivers around the Hudson Valley.
