Bomb Threat At Nanuet High School: Update
Bomb-sniffing dogs and law enforcement officers searched the building.

NANUET, NY — A bomb threat prevented the start of classes at Nanuet High School Tuesday morning. The building was evacuated and Explosive Detection K-9 teams from The New York State Police and Rockland County Sheriff’s Department conducted an extensive check.
No devices were found and the all clear was given, Clarkstown police said.
The Nanuet School District had the students who were arriveing on campus directed to the middle school. After the search, all moved back into the building and classes resumed.

School officials posted a notice on the district website at 9:25 a.m.:
The Clarkstown Police Department has advised that the Nanuet HS building is safe for students and staff to return.
Due to this morning’s bomb threat at the Nanuet High School, the Clarkstown Police Department has conducted a thorough search of the building and has advised that the building is safe for students and staff to return. All high school students should report to their 2nd period class which will start at 9:40 am.
The Clarkstown Police have advised that this threat was exclusive to the Nanuet High School only.

The Clarkstown Police Department is currently investigating a bomb threat at the Nanuet High School. The students that are arriving on campus will be directed to the Middle School. The school had been evacuated and police will be conducting a thorough search of the building to ensure the school is safe. More information will follow as warranted.
