Rockland Paramedic Services is teaming up with New York Blood Center for a community blood drive on Thursday, August 6th, from 10 AM to 4 PM at RPS Headquarters, 17 Squadron Blvd, Suite 410, New City. More than 60% of New Yorkers are eligible to donate blood. Only about 2% actually do. One donation can save up to 3 lives, so every appointment makes a real difference. As a thank-you, this drive is part of NYBC's "Blood for a Brew" campaign. Eligible donors get a voucher for a free beverage at participating breweries, restaurants, and coffee shops. Beth Am Temple holds casual Fahrbrengen gatherings for summer shabbats on Friday, August 7 and September 4 at 5:30 pm in the Social Hall. The informal, non-prayer book meetings for all ages include songs, noshes, learning and discussion in the Social Hall. Kaddish will be recited. The public is welcome to join this 50-minute, informal Shabbat program.

Join Nyack Art Collective for a special First Friday performance at 7pm August 7 at 3 N. Broadway, Nyack!&nbsp; There will be live music by Tamuz Nissim Jazz Ensemble and dance by Debra Weiss Dance Company.&nbsp; In Celebration of Women's Equality Day, the program will feature original songs composed by Nissim, a rising star in the NYC jazz scene, as well as music associated with noteworthy singers from the past, including Judy Garland, Billy Holiday, and Nina Simone. The choreography will reflect the diversity of the Nyack community, including Latin Dance, Haitian Dance, Modern Dance, and Voguing.&nbsp; &nbsp;ADMISSION IS&nbsp;FREE.&nbsp; No reservations are required.&nbsp; Refreshments will be served.&nbsp;

Doors open at 5:40 pm and play starts at 7:30 pm. Bingo games are open to the public.
Packages are priced at $42, $35 and $25 plus $3 admission. They contain nine games with other games available for purchase including Pull Tabs, Quickies, two progressive bonanza jackpots and nightly specials. Games end at approximately 10 pm.
All game boards are paper with electronic verification. Pre-packaged snacks, beverages and bingo supplies are available for purchase.
