Cardinal Dolan Offers Holy Week Mass At Rockland County Jail
It was an honor and privilege to welcome him, said Rockland County Sheriff Louis Falco.

On April 13, 2022, Cardinal Timothy Dolan, the Archbishop of New York, visited the Rockland
County Sheriff’s Office, and greeted Sheriff Louis Falco III and his staff, along with County
Law Enforcement officials during Holy Week. In the Christian religion, Holy Week is the week
between Palm Sunday and Easter.
Cardinal Dolan then entered the County Correctional Facility, accompanied by other clergy,
including the Rev. Monsignor Emmet Nevin, Vicar of Rockland and Monsignor, Rev. Marc
Filacchione, Archdiocesan Director and performed Catholic Mass for incarcerated individuals.

Sheriff Falco stated: “It’s an honor and privilege to welcome Cardinal Dolan to our facility to
perform a mass and provide blessings to the incarcerated individuals and my staff during Holy
week.
In addition to the celebration of Holy Week, the Correctional Facility offers multidenominational
services for all faiths.
