This exhibit is presented as an expression of compassion and support for the Japanese people, and to bring awareness and attention to the ongoing crises since the earthquake and devastating tsunami of March 11.
The College’s Art Department is pleased to present works of drawing, painting, photography and graphic design by RCC’s art students of Asian heritage. Some former students have been directly affected by the crises, and are currently residing in Tokyo. They have gratefully acknowledged this project as a sign of empathy, hope and support for Japan’s full recovery.
A special Asian lunch will be offered for sale at the Opening Reception on Thursday, May 12. Please note that the artwork is exhibited in two locations: the second floor of RCC’s student union and the Cultural Arts Center, Atrium, 1st and 2nd floors.
