Over the next two Fridays, seniors who live in Rockland County can be vaccinated against this year’s predicted flu viruses for free. The flu vaccines are also available to residents aged 9 through 64—for a $30 fee.
These are just the first flue clinics of the season sponsored by the Rockland County Department of Health.
They’ll be held from 1-4 p.m. Sept. 19 and Sept. 26 in the Robert L. Yeager Health Center, Building A Exhibition Hall, located at 50 Sanatorium Road in Pomona.

Each patient must bring proof of Rockland County residency such as a driver’s license or utility And don’t forget to bring ID with proof of age—the vaccine is free of charge to residents 65 and older. Patients with Medicare and Medicaid must bring their cards.
“Getting the flu vaccine is the main way to prevent the flu and its complications,” Dr. Patricia Schnabel Ruppert, Rockland County Commissioner of Health, said in a press release.
