Palisades Center Mall, West Nyack, Saturday, August 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Why Go: Masons are offering free child identification service. Have your child’s photo, fingerprints and vital statistics put on a CD. This will provide the critical information law enforcement needs if your child ever goes missing.

Where/When: - Borderline Folk Music Picnic New City Volunteer Ambulance Corps/Sunday, August 28 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Why Go: Live folk and bluegrass music all day featuring Si Kahn and a separate jam and song area. Bring lawn chairs and a potluck dish to share. Craft vendors will be on site.

Where/When: Public Library, located at 10 West Ramapo Road, in Garnerville, NY 10923 on Wednesday, August 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Why Go: School-age storytellers are encouraged to compete for a chance to participate at the Rockland County Storytelling Festival in October. Round 1 is taking place from August 23-25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Round 2 is set for Sunday, September 11 from 2 to 4 p.m. Round 3 is scheduled for Sunday, September 25 from 2 to 4 p.m. Finals will be held on October 16 from 2 to 4 p.m. The public is invited to vote for their favorite storytelling contestant.

Where and When: Autism Speaks Awareness Night Hosted by the Rockland Boulders (Pomona)
Provident State Park, located at 1 Provident Bank Park Drive in Pomona, on Friday, August 26, at 5 p.m. Game starts at 7:05 p.m.
Why Go: This event will feature a game between the Rockland Boulders and the New York Federals with a percentage of ticket proceeds benefiting the Fourth Annual Greater Hudson Valley
