HOPE -Heroin & Opioid Public Education
HOPE is an educational program providing information, support and resources to deal with a loved ones opiate/heroin addiction.
HOPE is a program offered by The Rockland Council on Alcoholism & Other Drug Dependence, Inc. (RCADD) through a grant from United Way
The goals of HOPE are:
- Receive accurate information about addiction disease, treatment and recovery
- Help family members understand the effects of addiction on personal relationships
- Teach, promote and encourage family members to care for themselves while supporting their loved one suffering from addiction.
- Gain Support of peer and other mutual aid groups
- Learn how to advocate for loved one as well as addiction field
- Gain knowledge on the recovery process
- Learn about local resources that will foster recovery
HOPE is a free and strictly confidential program. HOPE is offered several times during the year based on enrollment. Groups will consist of no more than 8 people per session as to give personal attention to each participant.

Sessions are held at The Rockland Council on Alcoholism & Other Drug Dependence, Inc. (RCADD) 25 Smith St. Ste. 101, Nanuet, NY 10954 on Wednesdays 6pm-7:30pm (except for the 2nd Wednesday of the month) You must enroll
