A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family.

SUFFERN, NY — A Suffern family lost their home Wednesday afternoon in a fire that also took the lives of four of their pets. The blaze was caused by space heater, owner Debbie McGhee said.
Her 22-year-old son was home, located on Washington Avenue, at the time of the fire with a friend, but they were able to get out safely, the Journal News said.
Two dogs and two cats perished, but one of the family's cats survived.
