Meals on Wheels Participates in the Subaru Share the Love Event
Meals on Wheels participates in the Subaru Share the Love Event at Palisades Center
A national fundraising effort, “Subaru Share the Love” is helping feed seniors across Rockland. Staff and volunteers collected non-perishables at the Palisades Mall in West Nyack on December 15th to support our homebound program. This effort is part of Meals on Wheels America’s participation in Subaru’s national year-end Share the Love Event. For every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased from November 19th through January 2, 2016, Subaru will donate $250 to the purchaser’s participating charity of choice – one of which is Meals on Wheels America. It is expected that Subaru and its retailers will donate more than $65 million to select charities through the Share the Love Event. Our Meals on Wheels agency’s participation will then make us eligible to earn a grant to help provide an extra layer of support to help deliver nutritious meals and other important services to Rockland seniors.
