MS LifeLines Reaches One Million Call Milestone
EMD Serono, Inc. and Pfizer Inc. announced that MS LifeLines, an educational and support service that includes a call center, has achieved a milestone in servicing one million in-bound calls since it began in 2002.

EMD Serono, Inc. and Pfizer Inc. announced on Wednesday that MS LifeLines, an educational and support service that includes a call center, has achieved a milestone in servicing one million in-bound calls since it began in 2002. MS LifeLines is a service available to the multiple sclerosis (MS) community, including people living with MS, their families, and care givers.
"As an organization working to deliver innovative solutions, we are pleased to be able to provide our programs and services to the MS community and to continue to enhance all of our offerings," said Fereydoun Firouz, president and chief executive officer of EMD Serono, Inc.
MS LifeLines has been available to the MS community as an educational resource since 2002. It was sponsored by EMD Serono and Pfizer. One of the services offered is a call center based in EMD Serono's corporate headquarters in Rockland, MA. The call center contains patient enrollment specialists, patient support specialists, nurse support specialists and reimbursement specialists.

"We are proud of our long-standing heritage in serving the MS community, and reaching the one million call milestone is another demonstration of our long-term commitment in MS," said Firouz. "This service stands as another example of EMD Serono and Pfizer's commitment to serving the patient communities and advancing treatments for serious diseases."
Those in the MS community can call any time, day or night and a live representative is there to answer calls 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

"Whether a person calls with a question about therapy or a question related to their insurance, the team at MS LifeLines is here to help lend a hand," said Lauren Sweeney, a patient support team member at MS LifeLines. "It is extremely rewarding to be able to make a difference. Receiving a diagnosis of MS can be overwhelming, and we're here to help serve as a resource for the entire MS community."
The programs and services provided by MS LifeLines are regularly updated and added upon to meet the needs of individuals impacted by MS and the people in their lives. A patient access program, MS LifeLines Access Made Simple, was created to assist eligible patients who need help in beginning their MS therapy quickly. In addition, other new service offerings have been brought in, including MS LifeLines Rx. This is a web-based prescribing tool which allows physicians to have access to other prescribing options beyond the paper process.
