Police tracking Icu-Madrid discovered he got a ride from someone who took him to the Port Authority bus terminal in New York City. With help from the Port Authority police they concluded he was on a bus to Boston. The Boston Police Department arrested him when the bus pulled in there.

After the arraignment, Icu-Madrid was sent to Rockland County Jail without bail. He faces a maximum of 25 years to life in state prison, if convicted.

Chief Assistant District Attorney Dominic Crispino is prosecuting the case.
