The second annual Light It Up Blue Rockland campaign begins Monday.
The focus of the campaign is to raise autism awareness as well as funds for Autism Speaks, a 501c3 organization that funds research and advocacy to help autistic people and their families. Light It Up Blue Rockland raised $15,000 last year.

A familiar establishment in Nanuet is stepping forward to help out. During the month of April, is donating 10 percent of all Corner Cafe Gift Certificate Sales to Autism Speaks.
"One of my regular customers, she comes in here a lot and her kid has autism. I always try to do things that can help (autism awareness)," said Owner Dave Scoccimarro. "She's very involved with things having to do with autism and right now it's the Light It Up Blue (event). She asked me to help so I'll be seliing gift certificates and donating 10 percent to the foundation."
