Nanuet Cools Down as Weather Heats Up

On Tuesday, temperatures spiked at 80+ degrees. Although today was cloudy and cooler, the next couple days are going to reach highs in the 70s in Nanuet. , a business that year by two Nanuet families, saw a lot of traffic because of the hot weather.

With 28 ice cream flavors and 32 Italian ice flavors (and two additional ones with no sugar added), people have been coming in to cool their tongues and try the wide variety of flavors. They also reinstated the Italian ice flavor Black Razzberry due to its popularity.

"Mango has been popular (for Italian ice). Everyone's obsessed with that one," said said Brian Burstein, who was working on Tuesday. "(For ice cream), a lot of kids like the Birthday Cake (flavor)."

"I worked here on Sunday and we had a really good day because of the weather," said Burstein. "This year has been better than last year because we have new products." The new items include bubble tea and a frozen yogurt machine. 

Other cold options perfect for summer include: milk shakes, smoothies, slushies, sundaes and brownie sundaes. A variety of toppings are also available.

They're open from 2:30 - 9 p.m. on weekdays and 1 - 10 p.m. on weekends.
