Nanuet’s Toys “R” Us Launches Fundraising Campaign Against Childhood Cancer
The in-store event for Toys "R" Us of Nanuet will be on June 26 from Noon to 3 p.m.
Toys "R" Us, Inc. announced the launch of an eight-week, in-store and online fundraising and awareness campaign last Wednesday, June 1. This campaign will benefit Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), a non-profit organization dedicated to finding better treatments and–ultimately–a cure for childhood cancer.”
The Local Nanuet Toys "R" Us will join other stores across the nation to raise money for an eight-week period starting June 1 ending July 31.
“During every transaction, a team member will ask the customer if they will like to make a donation to the foundation,” said Jose, Nanuet Toys “R” Us manager. “The amount donated will appear on the customer’s receipt. Each Toys “R” Us store will track money collectively, but in Nanuet, the store has a specific goal of raising $2,000 for the foundation each day.”
