• Nyack student's sneaker drive collects 195 pairs for children in need (midhudsonnews.com) — A local student-led sneaker drive in nearby Nyack drew support from Bach to Rock Nanuet, helping collect 195 pairs of athletic shoes for children in need. The project, started by Green Meadow Waldorf junior Twyla Dawson-Hollis, expanded from her school into the wider community and will send donated sneakers to a nonprofit that distributes footwear worldwide.
