Primary Election Tuesday for County, Legislative and Clarkstown Candidates

Contests for Democratic, Independence and Working Families lines

Voters cast their ballots on Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. for candidates vying for their party’s line in the November eighth general election. Clarkstown polling sites open in Bardonia, Central Nyack, Congers, Nanuet, New City, South Nyack, Spring Valley Upper Nyack, Valley Cottage and West Nyack, 

Rockland County Sheriff – Vote for one

Democrat

  • Louis Falco III – Blauvelt 

Falco serves as the chief of the Sheriff’s Patrol and O’Neill is retired with the rank of detective sergeant from the Clarkstown Police Department.

Rockland County Family Court Judge – Vote for One

Democrat

  • Ed Kallen - New City
  • Karen A. Riley – Suffern
  • Sherri L. Eisenpress – Valley Cottage
  • Itamar J. Yeger – Spring Valley

Kallen is a former Family Court law clerk and has been a family law practitioner for more than 25 years. Riley is currently the acting Hillburn Village Justice. Eisenpress has a private law practice and Yeger is executive assistant district attorney for Rockland County.

  • Sherri L. Eisenpress – Valley Cottage

Kleinhandler is a chief warrant officer 4 in the U.S. Army National Guard and a small business owner.

Cornell is the chairwoman of the county legislature.

Democrat

  • Henry L. Stewart - Spring Valley

Reda is county chief assistant district attorney. Gerber is seeking his second term.

 

Clarkstown Superintendent of Highways – Vote for One

Working Families

  • Wayne T. Ballard – New City
  • Opportunity to Ballot

Ballard is the current highway superintendent and has held the post since 1998. Malone is the current Clarkstown Mini-Trans Transit Supervisor.
