Rockland Benefit on June 11 to Raise Funds for Education Programs

Charity cocktail party will raise funds for reproductive health education programs in Rockland County.

Last year, nearly a dozen teens in Rockland County completed a training program to provide health and sexuality information and referrals to their peers. The Teen Information and Peer Services (TIPS) program provided 123 training programs to more than 2,800 youth. These educators, or TIPSters, are part of Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic’s (PPHP) educational programming in Rockland County which provided an additional 128 programs to 1,700 participants in 2014.

On Thursday, June 11, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, PPHP will host its Rockland Benefit at a private home in Blauvelt, NY. This two-hour cocktail party includes a silent auction with items such as massages, theater and ballet tickets, private yoga and pilates sessions, jewelry, and more.

All proceeds benefit PPHP’s education programs in Rockland County, including a full-time educator in Spring Valley and the TIPS program. Sponsorship packages range from $250 to $2,500 and individual tickets are $90, with a young professional ticket at $40 for ages 35 and under. Tickets must be purchased in advance. To purchase tickets visit www.pphp.org/2015RocklandBenefit, or call (914) 467-7337.
