Rockland Woman Named Director of Archives At Holocaust Museum
Isabella Costa has been hired as the Director of Archives after working as a Historic Interpreter for three years.

From The Holocaust Museum & Center for Tolerance: The Holocaust Museum & Center for Tolerance and Education is pleased to introduce Isabella Costa as our new Director of Archives. Isabella is a long-time Rockland County resident who is currently a Master's Candidate in Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Kean University in Union, New Jersey. An integral part of the Museum's team since 2015, Isabella has been working diligently with the artifact collection to make sure they are accessible to the Holocaust historians working on content for the creation of the Museum's new exhibit space. Under her leadership, the Holocaust Museum has secured assistance for an archival assessment, conducted by Documentary Heritage and Preservation Services for New York, to be completed this year. Also, she will oversee the completion of the National Endowments of the Humanities Preservation Assistance Grant awarded to the Museum in January.
Prior to her work at the Holocaust Museum, Isabella worked at Ringwood Manor in Ringwood State Park, New Jersey, as a Historic Interpreter for three years. It was at Ringwood where Isabella worked with a team of dedicated Copper-Hewitt historians on a critical restoration project that required the organizational and technical skills to work in varying capacities ranging from standard archival practices to basic conservation techniques. Isabella also spearheaded a historic preservation grant with the New Jersey Botanical Gardens- Skylands Association awarded by the Fred J Brotherton Charitable Foundation to catalogue, preserve, and digitize historic glass plate negatives and archival blueprints affiliated with the original Skylands Manor built in the 1890's.
