NANUET, NY — A man who served time in prison for a fatal stabbing in 1990 goes back to prison for a fatal stabbing in Nanuet in 2016. Rockland County District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe today announced that Frank Keogh of Yonkers has been sentenced to 19 years to life in state prison on his guilty plea in the killing of Eric Leopold.
Keogh, 49, had pleaded guilty to one count of Murder in the Second Degree, a class “A-1” Felony,
“The defendant wielded a knife in a brutal and vicious attack at night on a man who was repeatedly stabbed and slashed," Zugibe said in the announcement. "He more than deserves the sentence of 19 years in prison that he received.”
