Sons Of Italy Hosts DiMenna Memorial Motorcycle Run & Car Show

NANUET, NY — The Rockland Lodge 2176 of the Sons of Italy, in association with Hudson Valley Harley Davidson, will host The First Annual Alex DiMenna Memorial Motorcycle Run and Car Show at Hudson Valley Harley Davidson, on Route 304 in Nanuet on June 16.

Alex DiMenna was a long-time member of the Blauvelt Sons of Italy Lodge 2176 and a motorcycle enthusiast. His Lodge Brother members lost him well before his time, to brain cancer in June of 2016. He was a valued member of the Lodge and an asset to the organization and played an active role in the annual Italian Feast held in Tappan, NY every September.
Registration will take place from 9:30 am - 10:45 at Harley Davidson. Coffee and bagels will be available during registration. Riders pay $20 to participate and passengers pay $10. Donations will also be accepted from those who would like to support the event but not ride. The Motorcycle Run starts at 11 a.m. and will be followed by a party back at Harley Davidson from 12-3 p.m. Registration fee includes admission to the festivities which will include a barbecue, music and raffles. The event will take place rain or shine.

The Rockland Lodge 2176 Order of The Sons of Italy was established in 1966 with the goal of enhancing the image of people of Italian descent and has grown into one of the most active organizations in Rockland County. The group, with members from Rockland and Bergen County, donates funds to a variety of non-profits from the proceeds of the Italian Feast and provides scholarships to students throughout the year.
