Today: Local Chef, Nutritionist Demos Healthy Options at DeCicco

Keep those New Year Resolutions, get in shape and shed that winter weight. But how? You can read and research about healthy foods, but when it comes to buying and cooking them, some need an extra push.

Nutritionist Diane Hoch is here to give that extra push by showing her community healthy food options and how to cook them into a meal. This mother of three lives in Bardonia and founded the in Bardonia last year to offer healthy cooking classes to the community.

Now she's spreading her message of healthy cooking outside of her business by doing a live food demonstration at in New City from 3:30-6 p.m. April 13, today.

"I'm so excited about this opportunity. There are so many foods and ways to eat them that are a delicious and healthy alternative to what we're eating today," said Hoch. "Healthy eating starts at home and that's what I'm here to teach."
