Wednesday: Auction for Closed Nanuet Furniture Store

There is no minimum opening bid for the 600 lots to be auctioned off

Businesses have struggled to stay afloat in this economy. Unfortunately, another Nanuet one has gone under: . Located just north of Route 59 on Middletown Road, it closed the doors to its 60,000 square-foot building and are opening one more time with an auction.

Everything in the store—600 lots—are being auctioned off Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 11 a.m. on site. Doors will open at 9 a.m.

"The lots are as little as an armchair and there are certain lots where you have to buy a set, like a sofa, loveseat and rug," said Harry Byrnes of A.J. Willner Auctions LLC. "The auction will be live and everything will be sold to the highest bidder regardless of price, as there is no minimum bid."
