Road Closure-Orangetown-Sickletown Road Closed at Blauvelt Road Use Alternate Route

The Orangetown Police Department advises that Sickletown Road in Pearl River is closed at Blauvelt Road due to a water main break. The road is expected to remain closed for at least several hours.

Drivers should avoid the intersection of Sickletown Road and Blauvelt Road in Pearl River, and should consider alternate routes. For more information, contact the Orangetown Police Department at 845-359-3700.

United Water emergency crews are responding to a 16 inch water main break on Sickletown Road near Blauvelt Road. Customers in Orangetown may have no water, low water pressure or discolored water.

Even though the water is discolored, it poses no health risks and it meets safe drinking water standards. However, customers may prefer to wait until it runs clear before drinking or washing clothes or dishes.
