VA Hudson Valley offers registered Vets flu shots Sept. 22 in Rockland County

The Department of Veterans Affairs Hudson Valley Healthcare System will offer free seasonal flu shots to registered Veterans at its two main campuses and community based outpatient clinics on Sept. 22.

The free flu shots will be available for Veterans already registered for VA care at these locations:

• FDR Montrose Campus, Bldg. 3, room 121, from 9 a.m. to noon, and from 1-3 p.m.The FDR Montrose campus is located at 2094 Albany Post Road, Montrose, N.Y. 10548.

• Castle Point Campus, Bldg. 15, room E026, 9 a.m. to noon and 1-3 p.m. The Castle Point Campus is located at 41 Castle Point Road, Wappingers Falls, N.Y. 12590

The flu shots will also be available for registered Veterans Sept. 22 all day at VA Hudson Valley’s seven community based outpatient clinics:

• Carmel Community Clinic/Putnam County, 1875 Route 6, Provident Bank, 2nd floor Carmel, N.Y. 10512

• Eastern Dutchess Pine Plains Community Clinic, 2881 Church Street, Route 199, Pine Plains, N.Y. 12567

Registered Veterans may also get a free flu shot through a partnership with Walgreens. Registered Veterans will be able to receive a flu shot at nationally participating Walgreens and the medical information will be automatically sent and stored into the Veteran’s medical record.
