• Man arrested on order of protection violation charges in New Hartford (newportdispatch.com) — New Hartford police arrested a 54-year-old town resident after a weeks-long investigation into alleged repeated violations of a court order of protection. Working with U.S. Marshals, officers located the man in Utica, charged him with multiple felony counts of criminal contempt, and took him to the Oneida County Jail pending arraignment. 
• American Red Cross warns of emergency blood shortage as supply drops 25% in June (cnycentral.com) — New Hartford residents are being urged to donate blood as the Red Cross reports a 25% drop in supply, especially for platelets and key blood types. A local drive is scheduled July 23 at the New Hartford Public Library, alongside many other Central New York locations, with donors receiving a movie ticket incentive through July 31.
• Three injured in fiery three-car crash in Westmoreland (cnyhomepage.com) — Two New Hartford residents were among three drivers injured in a fiery three-car crash at Routes 5 and 233 in Westmoreland. Deputies say a 19-year-old from New Hartford allegedly ran a red light, triggering a chain-reaction collision that left one vehicle in flames, though all injuries were reported as non-life-threatening.
