(tgazette.com) — New Lebanon’s town transfer station has been shut down indefinitely, alongside Gallatin’s, after county officials deemed the current operations too costly and inefficient. Rising transportation expenses and pest issues at low-volume sites drove the decision. Residents are encouraged to contact Columbia County Solid Waste with questions or concerns and to watch for possible alternative service options under discussion.
