1 Dead, Several Injured After 5-Alarm Fire At NYC Building
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
NEW YORK CITY — One person has died, and several others were injured after a five-alarm fire at a New York City residential building Thursday morning.
The blaze broke out around 5:30 a.m. at 505 East 184th Street in the Bronx.
More than 280 firefighters and emergency personnel responded to the scene.

One person was found dead in a top floor apartment, the FDNY said.
The fire was placed under control around 8:12 a.m.

Six firefighters and two civilians suffered minor injuries and were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
